TNVS rider claims P19.4 million lotto prize
MANILA, Philippines — A Transportation Network Vehicle Service or TNVS rider from Valenzuela City turned up at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) central office in Mandaluyong City recently to claim his lotto winnings.
The TNVS rider won the P19.4-million jackpot in the 6/42 Regular Lotto on Jan. 11.
He said he has been playing the lottery for two years.
“I only buy lotto tickets when I have extra earnings from ride bookings,” he said.
He bet on the winning combination 09-38-23-12-32-29, which had a total prize of P19,489,253.80.
He said he would use the money for the construction of a new house and for the tuition of his child.
Lotto winnings above P10,000 are subject to a 20-percent tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Law.
