COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A village watchman and a resident were killed while three others were wounded in an attack by motorcycle-riding assailants in Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao del Sur on Monday night.
Hassen Kumamo, a member of the barangay peacekeeping action team, and Esmail Singh died at the scene of the crime that occurred in Barangay Labu-Labu, according to Brig. Gen. Romeo Juan Macapaz, Bangsamoro police director.
The wounded victims – Ali Amerudin, Anwar Banalan and Mohammad Husain – were rushed to a hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds, probers said.
Kumamo and Singh were standing along the road with Amerudin, Banalan and Husain when the gunmen assaulted them.
