CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Three fishermen were arrested for alleged illegal fishing in Gasan, Marinduque on Friday.
The suspects, whose identities were not immediately known, reportedly yielded illegal fishing equipment worth over P1 million, according to the Philippine Coast Guard Substation-Gasan.
The fishermen were on board F/B Princess Aquarius when they were intercepted by PCG operatives.
The PCG seized the suspects’ boat and fishing nets as well as 10 kilos of fish.
