1 dies, 2 wounded in Batangas shooting

MANILA, Philippines — A tricycle driver was killed while two students were wounded in an attack by motorcycle-riding men in Batangas City on Thursday.

The victim was picking up four students from a school in Barangay Bilogo when he was killed, according to Lt. Col. Aira Morello, Batangas City police chief.

The victim died instantly from a gunshot to the head, Morello said.

Two of the four students were rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Police have yet to determine the motive for the attack.
