MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested a 33-year-old man for alleged gun possession and robbery in Quezon City on Saturday night.

Raffy Radaza, of Barangay Batasan Hills, is being held on charges of robbery and violation of Republic Act 10591, in relation to the Omnibus Election Code, according to acting Quezon City Police District director Col. Melecio Buslig Jr.

Police said a man was walking at the corner of IBP Road and Everlasting street in Barangay Commonwealth when Radaza, who was armed with a gun, allegedly robbed the victim before fleeing.

The victim reported the incident to police, prompting officers to chase the suspect.

Police apprehended Radaza after a few hours. Recovered from him was the victim’s cell phone worth P5,000, a coin purse containing P800, a shoulder bag and a black t-shirt.

A loaded .38-caliber handgun was also confiscated from the suspect, police said.
