MANILA, Philippines — An 11-year-old boy was grazed by a stray bullet in Barangay 176, North Caloocan on Saturday, police reported yesterday.

According to police, the boy was outside his house at around 11:30 a.m. when a bullet struck the roof, creating a hole before hitting him. 

His older brother, who was washing dishes at the time, said he heard a loud noise before his sibling cried out in pain.

The boy suffered minor injuries.

The incident was reported to the East Bagong Silang police substation 13.

According to the victim’s family, probers could not determine the source of the bullet as it was already dented when retrieved.

Police have yet to identify the shooter or where the stray bullet came from.
