P1.4 million illegal drugs seized in Makati drug sting

MANILA, Philippines — Over P1.4 million worth of marijuana, shabu and party drug Ecstasy were seized from two women during a sting on Friday, the Southern Police District (SPD) reported.

In a report, the SPD said the Makati City Police’s drug enforcement unit conducted a sting operation against an alias Lulu, a cryptocurrency investor, and Pinky, a call center agent, at Barangay Bel-Air.

Lulu and Pinky allegedly sold 101 plastic bags of disposable vape cartridges, which contained cannabis oil, to police agents.

Police pegged the value of the seized items at P1.408 million.
