Baguio temperature dips further to 13.8oC
MANILA, Philippines — The temperature in Baguio City further dropped to 13.8 degrees Celsius as the northeast monsoon or amihan continues to affect the country, the latest monitoring of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration showed.
PAGASA said cooler weather is expected throughout January as the monsoon is expected to persist.
The latest monitoring report showed Itbayat in Batanes recording the second lowest temperature at 17.5 degrees Celsius.
Completing the Top 10 areas in the country with the lowest temperatures are Malaybalay, Bukidnon (18 degrees); Casiguran, Aurora (18.2 degrees Celsius); Tanay, Rizal (19.1 degrees); Abucay, Bataan (19.4 degrees); Calayan, Cagayan (19.9 degrees); Baler, Aurora (20 degrees); Sinait, Ilocos Sur (20.2 degrees), and Tuguegarao City in Cagayan (20.4 degrees).
According to PAGASA, the temperature in Metro Manila ranged between 23 and 30 degrees Celsius.
The state weather bureau has said that the northeast monsoon is expected to strengthen in other parts of the country this month and will persist until February.
