LINGAYEN, Philippines —  A person with disability (PWD) and a minor drowned in separate incidents in Pangasinan on Wednesday.

The fatalities – a 44-year-old man from Binmaley town and an 11-year-old boy from Calasiao – were both declared dead on arrival at the Lingayen District Hospital.

Reports said the PWD was swimming in Barangay Baybay Lopez in Binmaley when big waves swept him away.

Members of the municipal risk reduction and management office recovered the victim’s body.

Meanwhile, the boy and his 13-year-old sister were swimming in Barangay Pangapisan North in Lingayen with their uncle when the minors were carried away by the current at past 2 p.m.
