CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — A fuel tanker loaded with 50,000 liters of diesel was taken by unidentified men while parked at a gas station in Barangay San Antonio in Guagua, Pampanga.

Col. Jay Dimaandal, Pampanga police provincial director, said Hero Lacap, area manager of ENP Fuel Trading, filed a belated report on the loss of their fuel tanker that was loaded with P2 million worth of diesel fuel.

Dimaandal said the Guagua police found the tanker being drained of its content at a compound in the town during a follow-up operation.

Police also arrested 11 people – identified by the aliases Rey, Lito, Son, Jovi, Nan, Nold, Tantan, Vin, Mer, Men Yan and Tonio – and seized five other diesel tanker trucks that were believed to be used in the illegal operation.

The arrested suspects are detained at the Guagua Police Station as appropriate charges were filed in court against them.
