NCRPO: Zero crime during Simbang Gabi
MANILA, Philippines — With police personnel deployed in churches, transport terminals and other areas of convergence, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported zero crime incidents throughout the duration of the nine-day traditional Simbang Gabi or dawn masses.
Metro Manila police director Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin commended the dedication of the NCRPO officers.
He also reassured the public that heightened security measures would remain in effect until the New Year’s Eve revelry to ensure the safety of Metro Manila residents.
“Our comprehensive security coverage delivered a peaceful and secure Simbang Gabi in Metro Manila. This operational success will serve as our benchmark as I lead the NCRPO in maintaining this momentum through the New Year celebration,” Aberin said.
