MMDA records 40 road crashes on Christmas
MANILA, Philippines — Forty road accidents were recorded from Dec. 24 to 25 by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.
The MMDA listed 31 road crashes on Christmas Eve and nine on Christmas Day.
Injured drivers and passengers were reported in 18 vehicular accidents, the MMDA said.
Three motorcycles were involved in hit-and-run accidents in Quezon City.
Sideswiping, multiple collisions, rear-end crashes and other incidents were also recorded by the MMDA.
Even when fewer cars were expected during Christmas, roads were slippery as rain persisted since Tuesday.
