LAGUNA, Philippines — Police have confirmed that the cadaver found along a riverside in Santo Rosa City earlier this month belonged to Taiwanese businessman Kuo-Wen Hung who was reported missing on Oct. 10.

According to a police official, the DNA results released on Dec. 17 confirmed that the human remains is that of Hung, who was first reported as a missing person after failing to return home from a trip to Tagaytay City.

Following this, the Laguna police office plans to create a team to investigate further the disappearance and killing of the 47-year-old businessman.

The team will be composed of investigators from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Highway Patrol Group and several other intelligence units.
