Burglar held for stealing photojournalist’s gadgets

MANILA, Philippines — Police apprehended a man who allegedly broke into a photojournalist’s house in Barangay BF Homes, Parañaque and stole P500,000 worth of gadgets on Friday.

Ezra Acayan, 31, posted the burglary on Facebook.

The suspect was recorded on closed-circuit television stealing equipment, including a high-end camera, satellite internet device, a drone, a power bank and a laptop containing Acayan’s recent work.

Probers said the suspect broke into the house by destroying a jalousie window.

The suspect, known only as alias Cyril, has been charged with robbery and illegal possession of a bladed weapon before the Parañaque prosecutor’s office. His accomplice remains at large.
