MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police has charged Lt. Col. Rhoderick Pascua and his wife, PNP Executive Master Sergeant Rosemarie Pascua, with murder in relation to the killing of PEMS Emmanuel de Asis, whose dismembered body was found buried in Baguio City last week.
“This is a deeply tragic incident and we assure the family of the victim that we are conducting a thorough investigation,” Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, PNP public information office chief, told a press briefing at Camp Crame yesterday.
Investigators alleged that Rhoderick caught his wife and De Asis in an intimate situation in the couple’s apartment in Taguig on Nov. 28.
“Killing someone out of anger is one thing, but to mutilate and attempt to hide the crime is another matter entirely,” Fajardo said.
