BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — A dismembered body of a police master sergeant was found buried in a property owned by his fellow officer in this city on Thursday.

The discovery of the remains of Executive M/Sgt. Emmanuel de Asis came a week after his murder, which reportedly occurred on Nov. 28 at the house of Lt. Col. Rhoderick Pascua in Taguig.

De Asis was a member of the Puerto Princesa police in Palawan.

The victim’s remains were exhumed in a compound owned by Pascua in Barangay Pucsusan.

Before the murder,  Pascua reportedly caught his wife, who is also a police officer,  and De Asis in an apartment rented by the couple in Bicutan, Taguig.

In a report, Taguig police chief Col. Joey Goforth said Pascua admitted fatally shooting De Asis in front of his wife.

Pascua reportedly admitted ordering his wife to get a hacksaw and chopped De Asis’ body into pieces.

He reportedly placed the body parts in two sacks, which he loaded into his Ford Ranger and brought to his family’s property in Baguio.

Pascua has been placed in the custody of the police. He  has reportedly undergone inquest proceedings.
