Woman drowns in Pangasinan waterfall

LABRADOR, Pangasinan, Philippines — A woman drowned after she fell into a waterfall in this town on Thursday afternoon.

Reports said the 18-year-old woman and her friends were standing on the edge of the Tinakayanan Falls in Barangay Bolo when she slipped and fell at past 2 p.m.

Responding police officers and members of the Philippine Coast Guard and municipal disaster risk reduction and management office recovered the body of the woman several hours after the incident.

She was declared dead on arrival at the Lingayen District Hospital.
