COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A public school teacher and her son died after their motorcycle was hit by a van in Mlang, Cotabato on Monday.

Jenelyn Damcel, 38, died while being treated in a hospital, while her son, Sean Andrew, 13, died at the scene of the accident.

The victims were on their way to school when they were hit by the van.

The van driver, whose identity was not immediately known, was taken to the police station for questioning.
