MANILA, Philippines — The Malabon City government yesterday inaugurated its “LAB for All” medical van, a mobile health unit designed to enhance access to medical and laboratory services for residents, particularly the poor.

Mayor Jeannie Sandoval led the blessing and ceremonial turnover of the van. She was joined by William Vincent Marcos, son of President Marcos, Newport World Resorts Foundation executive director Walter Mactal and Ospital ng Malabon chief Jennifer Amolo Lim.

The initiative, which was spearheaded by First Lady Liza Marcos in partnership with Newport World Resorts, aims to deliver essential medical and laboratory services to communities across the country.

The program provides comprehensive healthcare access through mobile units equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, including a hematology analyzer, chemistry analyzer, X-ray, ultrasound and ECG or electrocardiogram machines.

The medical van will enable Malabon to expand its health services, ensuring that even the most vulnerable populations can access critical health care.

Sandoval expressed gratitude to the First Lady and Newport World Resorts for choosing Malabon as one of the program’s beneficiaries.
