CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — A police officer and two drug suspects were wounded in an alleged shootout that occurred during an anti-narcotics operation in Meycauayan, Bulacan yesterday.
The police operation also resulted in the seizure of shabu with an estimated street value of P5.4 million, according to a report received by Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, Central Luzon police director.
Capt. Jocelyn Calvario and the suspects, identified as alias Dre and alias Analyn, were rushed to a hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.
Investigation showed Calvario and his companions were conducting surveillance operations along Onyx street in Barangay Pandayan when Dre allegedly shot them, triggering a shootout.
The suspects fled, but the team caught up with and arrested them.
