MANILA, Philippines — Police confiscated five kilos of marijuana valued at P7.5 million in Mandaluyong on Monday night.

The illegal drugs were recovered from two suspects during an anti-narcotics operation in Barangay Plainview.

Police identified the suspects as John Fitz Jerard Salazar and Alison Mae Reyes.

The suspects allegedly negotiated with a police officer and an informant for the sale of high-grade marijuana.

They were taken into police custody after receiving P50,000 in marked money.

Police said the suspects’ arrest would curb drug pushing in Barangay Plainview.
