Woman, 60, run over by truck in Tondo

MANILA, Philippines — An elderly woman died after she was run over by a trailer truck ran in Tondo, Manila last Friday afternoon, according to the Manila Police District.

The MPD reported that the victim, Zenaida Bobier, 60, was supposed to cross Raxabago Street when a tractor head with license plate DAB 4149 and a trailer with license plate BUA 1755 driven by Jerry Aliminion Llavore turned right to the westbound lane of the road after coming from the southbound lane of Juan Luna Street at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 25.

Bobier, however, was hit by the rear right side of the trailer.

Images shared by the MPD showed that the trailer’s two large wheels pinned her lifeless body.

Bobier “sustained fatal injuries” that killed her on the spot.

Police held the driver for further investigation.
