Woman, son found dead in Batangas

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A woman and her 17-year-old son were found dead in Lipa, Batangas on Tuesday afternoon.

The bodies of mall employee Rhona Lalusin, 41, and her son, Kurt Ace, were found in the room of their house in Barangay Pangao at around 4:26 p.m. by their neighbor, Eva Malabanan.

Malabanan told police she found Rhona’s half-naked body on the floor and Kurt Ace in bed.

The victims suffered multiple stab wounds in the body, face and neck, according to Lt. Col. Rix Villareal, Lipa City police chief.

Police said they arrested a suspect who reportedly owned up to the crime, but refused to reveal the reason for the killing.
