Rebel returnee reveals arms cache in Nueva Ecija

CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines — A rebel returnee revealed to authorities an arms cache used by communist rebels in Nueva Ecija.

Acting Nueva Ecija police director Col. Ferdinand Germino said the revelation led to the recovery of a rifle grenade and about 100 bullets, among other items, during a special operation in Barangay Putlan in Carranglan town.

Germino said the returnee previously belonged to the Josefino Corpuz command of the New People’s Army.
