P14.62 million shabu found floating in Mindoro, Bataan

MANILA, Philippines —  Up to 2.15 kilos of shabu with a total combined value of P14.62 million were found floating in the waters off Occidental Mindoro and Bataan on Monday.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said eight fishermen found two plastic bags containing 1.8 kilos of shabu worth about P12.24 million near Lubang Island in Occidental Mindoro.

The PDEA said the fishermen, who were from Barangay Matain in Subic, Zambales, surrendered the illegal drugs to authorities.

Another fisherman found a plastic bag floating off the coast of Barangay Camaya in Mariveles, Bataan.

The bag reportedly contained 350 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P2.38 million.

In Negros Occidental, police seized shabu with an estimated street value of P9.6 million from seven suspects who were arrested in separate anti-narcotics operations in Bacolod City over the weekend.
