LTO suspends 3 driving schools

Land Transportation Office

MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended three more driving schools in Metro Manila and Cavite over the issuance of fraudulent theoretical driving course (TDC) and practical driving course (PDC) certificates.

LTO chief Vigor Mendoza said a show-cause order was issued on the driving schools in Las Piñas, Caloocan and Silang, Cavite after receiving information that they issued questionable TDC and PDC certificates.

These documents are requirements in applying for a driver’s license.

“These driving schools are being investigated,” Mendoza said.

The driving schools reportedly issued PDC and TDC certificates to unqualified driving students in exchange for cash.
