Non-working holidays declared in 8 areas

Proclamations 702, 705, 706, 708 and 709 declared special non-working days in Lupi in Camarines Sur, Cuenca and Taysan in Batangas, and Cabucgayan and Culaba in Biliran, respectively.

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has issued proclamations declaring special non-working holidays in eight areas in the country for the celebration of local anniversaries and festivities.

Proclamations 702, 705, 706, 708 and 709 declared special non-working days in Lupi in Camarines Sur, Cuenca and Taysan in Batangas, and Cabucgayan and Culaba in Biliran, respectively.

The town of Culaba will celebrate its 71st founding anniversary on Oct. 16.

Lupi will mark a similar celebration the following day, Oct. 17.

Cuenca and Taysan will commemorate their 148th and 106th founding anniversaries on Nov. 7 and 11, respectively.

Cabucgayan will mark its 75th founding anniversary on Nov. 15.

Meanwhile, Malacañang issued Proclamation 703 declaring Oct. 25 as a special non-working day in San Isidro, Davao del Norte for the Sikwate Festival.

The palace also declared Nov. 4 as a special non-working day in San Carlos, Negros Occidental for the city’s annual festival, through Proclamation 704.

Proclamation 707 was also issued declaring Nov. 13 a special non-working day in Pantukan, Davao de Oro for the town’s 87th founding anniversary and 22nd Pasaka Festival.
