MANILA, Philippines — One of the most wanted drug suspects in the National Capital Region was arrested yesterday by anti-narcotics officers during a sting operation in Valenzuela City that yielded shabu worth P238,000.
Levy Baldemos, 41, was apprehended following negotiations with police officers posing as drug buyers in Barangay Gen. T. de Leon at around 6:10 a.m., Metro Manila Police chief Maj. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said in a message on Viber.
Nartatez said Baldemos, a high-value suspect on the police’s list, was in possession of seven sachets that contained 35 grams of shabu.
Baldemos allegedly accepted P6,000 in marked money from police officers who posed as buyers.
Police also confiscated the suspect’s cellular phone which could provide leads on his cohorts.
The suspect will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
