CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A Korean, reported as a “missing person” since October last year, died of cardiac arrest at a hospital in Silang, Cavite on Friday.

Lt. Col. Louie Gonzaga, Silang police chief, said Korean Daehyun Nun was first reported by relatives as missing after failing to return home on Oct. 26, 2023.

“Without the knowledge of his family, (Nun) has been at the church as a worker. They learned only of his whereabouts when (Nun) was brought to the hospital. It was also recorded in the blotter as a flash alarm,” Gonzaga told The STAR.

He added that investigators were dispatched to Silang Specialist Medical Center, where Nun was brought for treatment, to verify the information.

Gonzaga said Nun’s son told police that a church worker informed him that his father was rushed to the hospital due to chest pains.
