Couple nabbed for drugs
ILOILO CITY , Philippines – A man and his partner were arrested in a sting in Oton, Iloilo yesterday morning.
Andrew Leuterio and Magelyn Becina allegedly sold shabu with an estimated street value of P50,000 to a policeman who posed as a buyer in Barangay Cabanbanan.
Aside from the illegal substance sold to the buyer, police said they seized from the suspects another 12 plastic packs containing shabu worth P7.48 million.
Arresting team leader Capt. Glenn Soliman said the suspects have no record of previous arrests.
The suspects were detained at the municipal police detention cell.
The suspects’ supplier reportedly sends the drug to them through roll-on roll-off buses from Metro Manila.
Probers said prior to the sting, the suspects were placed under police surveillance.
