ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — The series of anti-drug operations conducted in Zamboanga peninsula this year have resulted in the seizure of 69 kilos of shabu with an estimated total value of P469.2 million, police said yesterday
Brig. Gen. Bowenn Joey Masauding, Zamboanga peninsula police director, made the assessment after inspecting three kilos of shabu seized from three suspects in Barangay Talisayan in this city on Saturday.
Masauding said the latest seizure brought to 69 kilos the total volume of shabu confiscated in the region from January to September.
He said the three kilos of shabu was the largest drug haul so far this year, and the second largest since 2023.
In May last year, anti-narcotics agents seized 21 kilos of shabu in Barangay Mampang.
