MANILA, Philippines — Former newspaper reporter Paul Gutierrez has stepped down as executive director of the Presidential Task Force on Media Security as his tenure with the PTFoMS has expired.
In a letter to Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla dated Sept. 12, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said the expiration of Gutierrez’s tenure in the interagency body would “take effect immediately.”
Remulla serves as chairman of the PTFoMS, which was created through Administrative Order No. 1 issued by former president Rodrigo Duterte.
Presidential Communications Secretary Cesar Chavez said Marcos has yet to appoint a replacement for Gutierrez.
In a statement, Gutierrez thanked Marcos and those who supported him during his stint in the PTFoMS.
