10,490 finish 3-day Bar exams – SC
MANILA, Philippines — Up to 10,490 aspiring lawyers completed the three-day Bar examinations, Supreme Court (SC) Associate Justice Mario Lopez announced yesterday.
The number is down from the 10,504 examinees recorded on the first day of the exams on Sept. 8.
On the last day of the exams, subjects taken up were Criminal Law in the morning. The examinees took Remedial Law as well as Legal and Judicial Ethics with Practical Exercises in the afternoon.
The four other subjects taken up on Sept. 8 and 11 were Political and Public International Law, Commercial and Taxation Laws, Civil Law as well as Labor Law and Social Legislation.
Lopez said the results of the Bar exams may be released by early December. The oath-taking ceremony and signing of the roll of attorneys are scheduled on Jan. 24, 2025.
The 2024 Bar exams were held at 13 testing centers, the SC said.
Associate Justice Amy Lazaro Javier will be the chairperson for the 2025 Bar exams.
