CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Four Chinese men who were kidnapped in Pasay City were rescued in Batangas City after escaping from their captors on Friday.

A security guard found the victims, aged 23 to 32, along a bypass road in Barangay Balagtas and brought them to the police station where they declared they were forced into a vehicle, blindfolded and hogtied by their compatriots.

Police launched a manhunt in an effort to arrest their assailants.
