ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Joint anti-narcotics and police operatives arrested a teacher for selling over P1 million worth of shabu in a sting on Friday in Ipil town, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Maharani Gadaoni-Tosoc, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) director for Region 9, said suspect Gemma Lahaman Isnain, 59, was collared after handing over 150 grams of shabu in three packs to an agent who posed as a buyer.
He added that the drug has an estimated value of P1,020,000.
Tosoc said the PDEA and the police provincial units that participated in the operation filed a case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against Isnain.
