COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Plainclothes anti-narcotics agents arrested a school teacher after selling to them P1 million worth of shabu in an entrapment operation in Barangay Poblacion in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay on Friday, September 6.
Maharani Gadaoni-Tosoc, director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-9, said on Saturday that the suspect, Gemma Lahaman Isnain, is now detained.
She was immediately arrested by combined agents of the PDEA-9 and personnel of the Ipil Municipal Police Station and the Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Police Office after she sold to them P1 million worth of shabu in a tradeoff in one area in Barangay Poblacion in Ipil.
Gadaoni-Tosoc politely declined to identify the school where Isnain is connected and reveal its exact location to protect the stature of the institution.
Gadaoni-Tosoc said the PDEA-9 operation that led to the arrest of Isnain and the confiscation from her of 150 grams of shabu was carried out with the support of the director of the Police Regional Office-9, Brig. Gen. Bowenn Joey Masauding.
