2 men caught with P13.6 million shabu in Sulu

MANILA, Philippines — An estimated P13.6 million worth of shabu was seized from a sea vessel in Sulu province, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported yesterday.

The PCG Eastern Sulu station said in a statement posted on Facebook that it “received a phone call from a concerned citizen regarding two suspicious persons during embarkation inspection” of MV Queenshaima, which docked at Alayon Fish Port in Barangay Tandu Bato.

Responding PCG and Luuk police station personnel arrested the two men and recovered 21 sachets of shabu weighing two kilos with a street value of P13.6 million.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency confirmed that the substance was shabu and placed the suspects under its custody.
