3 inmates escape from Rizal facility

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Three inmates escaped from a custodial facility in Taytay, Rizal at dawn yesterday.

Ronald Barrera, Kurt Cavasal and Danny Cancino reportedly destroyed the iron grills of their cell at the Taytay municipal police in Barangay San Juan.

The guard on duty discovered the inmates missing during a routine inspection at around 4:45 a.m.

Barrera and Cancino are facing drug charges while Cavasal is facing a case of violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.

Police offered P10,000 for the recapture of each inmate.
