MANILA, Philippines — An estimated P8.19 million worth of illegal drugs was confiscated from three Chinese nationals during anti-narcotics operations in Pasay and Parañaque on Wednesday.

The suspects were apprehended by operatives of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group, according to PDEG director Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta.

In Pasay, a 26-year-old Chinese man, whom Matta said was a high-value drug suspect, was arrested after he met with police who posed as buyers.

The suspect, whose identity was withheld, yielded at least 1.3 kilos of shabu, amphetamine hydrochloride and ketamine valued at P7.69 million.

Two other Chinese were arrested while their compatriot escaped in a sting in Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque.

Huang Xin, 35, and Li Na, 32, were allegedly carrying 100 grams of ketamine worth P500,000.
