MANILA, Philippines — The Southern Police District (SPD) has recorded 79 arrests during its 29th “warrant day” operations.
Most wanted criminals were among those arrested on Aug. 23, including two fugitives identified as aliases Roel and Marites.
Roel and Marites were apprehended in Pasay City after evading arrest for five and 10 years, respectively.
Both fugitives are facing drug charges.
No bail was recommended for Roel’s temporary liberty. The court recommended bail of P200,000 for Marites.
Another fugitive identified as alias Edmar was arrested in Muntinlupa after evading the law for 12 years for slight physical injuries.
SPD director Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete lauded his men, saying the warrant day showed their “continuous commitment to pursue criminals and keep the southern Metro safe.”
