Man shot dead over parking issue

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A 27-year-old man was shot dead after engaging in a quarrel with three men over a parking space in Antipolo, Rizal on Saturday.

Police said John Kenneth Figueroa, 27, died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds in the body.

The gunman, identified only as alias Totoy, fled after the incident that occurred in Barangay Cupang.

Reports said one of the men accosted Figueroa after he parked his car in the area, triggering an argument between them.

The victim walked away, but the gunman and his companions tailed Figueroa.

The suspect reportedly challenged Figueroa to a fistfight.

Police said footage from a closed-circuit television camera installed near the crime scene showed Figueroa defeating his opponent, who drew his gun and shot the victim.

Investigation is ongoing.
