Fire breaks out in Manila

MANILA, Philippines — At least seven houses were destroyed when a fire broke out at a residential area in San Andres, Manila yesterday.

In a report, the Bureau of Fire Protection said the blaze started at 12:28 p.m. and reached second alarm before it was put out by firefighters after more than one hour.

Capt. Cesar Babante of the Manila Fire Department said they have yet to determine what caused the fire.

He said firefighters also rescued a dog trapped inside a burning house.
