Korean arrested for illegal drugs in Angeles City
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — A Korean was arrested in a sting in Angeles City yesterday for possessing suspected party drugs ecstasy tablets and ketamine, a widely abused anesthetic.
In a report to Brig. Gen. Benjamin Sembrano, acting Central Luzon regional police director, police said they confiscated 12 tablets of ecstasy worth P20,400 and 0.5 grams of suspected ketamine worth P2,500 from the Korean who goes by the aliases Kim and July Kim.
Police said the operation was conducted at dawn on Saturday in Barangay Pampang.
A complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act will be filed against the suspect.
