9 NBI execs get new posts

MANILA, Philippines — Nine officials of the National Bureau of Investigation got new posts in the latest reorganization in the bureau ordered by NBI Director Jaime Santiago.

He said the reorganization was prompted by the mandatory retirement of assistant director Vicente de Guzman III last Aug. 5.

Among the people who were named to new posts are Antonio Pagatpat, who was designated as deputy director for operations, and Jose Justo Yap, the NBI’s deputy director for administration.

The other officials who received new assignments are Angelito Magno, assistant director for investigation service; Glenn Ricarte, assistant director for intelligence service; Romel Papa, assistant director for forensic and scientific research service; Jose Doloiras, assistant director for information and communications technology service; Noel Bocaling, assistant director for comptroller service; and Janet Francisco, who was designated as assistant director for human resource and management service.

Joel Tovera, meanwhile, was appointed as assistant director for legal service concurrent to his position as chief of staff of the office of the director.
