P1.02 million shabu seized in Parañaque

MANILA, Philippines — Police confiscated 150 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu valued at P1.02 million in a sting operation in Parañaque yesterday.

The shabu was seized from Marvin Bontia, 28, and Eduard Alferero, 20, who were arrested in Barangay San Dionisio at around 11:40 a.m., according to National Capital Region Police Office director Maj. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.

They are being held on charges of violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

In Malabon, suspects identified only as Cris and Kentot were arrested in a sting in Barangay Tanong at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday. Police seized 10.1 grams of shabu with a street value of P68,680 from them, Northern Police District director Brig. Gen. Rizalito Gapas said.
