Monsoon rains to continue

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the southwest monsoon is affecting Luzon and the western section of Visayas.

MANILA, Philippines — The state weather bureau has not monitored weather disturbances inside the Philippine area of responsibility, but rains will continue due to the southwest monsoon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the southwest monsoon is affecting Luzon and the western section of Visayas.

The monsoon or habagat is bringing scattered rains over Ilocos Region, Zambales and Bataan.

Isolated rains are also forecast over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas.

Localized thunderstorms may bring isolated rains over the rest of the country.
