P4 million shabu seized in Quezon province

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Philippines — Shabu with an estimated street value of P4 million was seized in a sting that also resulted in the arrest of a drug suspect in San Antonio, Quezon province on Saturday night.

The suspect, identified only as Jherome, was a high-value target of the police, according to Maj. Reuben Jabrica, San Antonio police chief.

Probers said the suspect yielded four large plastic sachets containing the shabu.

On the same day,  anti-narcotics agents raided an alleged drug den and arrested four suspects in San Fernando, Pampanga.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified the suspects as Alfred Marcosa, Mary Rose Nabo, Mae Gutierrez and John Eric Estabaya.

Probers said Marcosa was allegedly the maintainer of the drug den located in Barangay Minuyan Proper.

The PDEA said the suspects yielded 15 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P102,000, dried marijuana leaves, drug paraphernalia and marked money.
