MANILA, Philippines — A 60-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly killed his brother with a gas stove following a quarrel during their drinking spree in Quezon City on Thursday night.

Gabriel Dana, and his brother, 50-year-old Cesar Pedro, were binge drinking with their friends in Barangay Talayan when they had an argument at around 9 p.m.

Police investigators said the siblings engaged in a fistfight but were pacified by their companions.

The victim left the scene but returned with a metal wrench and attempted to hit his brother.

Dana grabbed a small gas stove and struck his brother on the head, killing him on the spot.

The suspect was brought to the Quezon City Police District’s criminal investigation and detection unit for documentation.
