CAUAYAN, Isabela, Philippines — Four people died while two others were injured when a truck fell into a ravine in Nagtipunan town in Quirino province yesterday.
The victims were rushed to a hospital where truck driver Florante Barayuga, 42, and his passengers Daisy Regatan, Rogelio Nevero and Henry Baldoza were declared dead on arrival.
Two others, Marbil Medes and Sonny Regatan, remain in the hospital for treatment of injuries.
Investigation showed the truck lost its brakes while traveling down a sharp curve in Barangay Sangbay.
The victims were on their way home to Isabela from Dinapigue town when they figured in the accident.
