35,861 Makati students get ‘Air Binay 6.0’ sneakers

MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Makati has started the distribution of “Air Binay 6.0” rubber shoes to 35,861 public school students in the city.

Mayor Abby Binay led the distribution at the Palanan Elementary School yesterday.

“This initiative aims to equip students from preschool to senior high with new footwear, supporting their daily school activities,” the city government said.

Aside from a pair of rubber shoes, city hall will also distribute rain gear, uniforms, bags, tumblers and other supplies to all public school students this week.

The initiative is part of Makati’s Free Relevant Excellent Education or FREE program.
